This is a poster designed for the movie "Chinatown" made in my Advanced Design Practices Course. The project was to use handmade typography to create an interesting 20"x30" poster that focused on the typography. For this type treatment, I photographed plastic marquee letters from above with harsh lighting to have the shadows of the letters be what is actually being read, and then I used multiple other elements from the movie to peak a viewers interest. This poster design received a Bronze ADDY Award in the 2021 Forth Worth Competition.
This is a zine made from the poetry of Herman Hesse in my Advanced Design Practices Course. I was assigned the poet Herman Hesse, and from there I designed a small and simple logo mark from his name, and designed a zine that emphasizes his focus on some of the sadder truths of life that he saw through the nature around him, through expressive use of typography.
This Advertising Campaign for the new Burt's Bees CBD lip oil was a group project and was completed in my Advertising Design Class. I helped create this campaign along with Alejandra Balzac and Annika Ballestro, where we all worked together in the ideation, design, and creation. We chose to lean into the nature aspect of the Burt's Bees brand to help reduce any potential stigma that might exist about the use of CBD in the product since it had only recently become legalized at the time of creation. This campaign earned a honorable mention in Graphis New Talent Annual 2021.
